Flannel Flowers Central Coast

There is an amazing number of flannel flowers on the Coast Walk. Flannel flowers (Actinotus helianthi) are Australian native flowers and one of my favourites. It gave us the perfect opportunity to take out Fujifilm X100VI and try out the Fujicolor Superia 800 recipe

We started off on the Forries side to avoid the crowds on the long weekend.

I’ve walked this path dozens of times and I have been trying to look at the landscape with fresh eyes and really see what kinds of things interest me.

After a bit of walking we finally came across a sea of flannel flowers.

I have never seen so many flannel flowers together. It was a beautiful sight. These were some of my mum’s favourite flowers and it was magical to see so many in one of her favourite places.

We could only walk at midday so it was pretty bright. A golden hour photoshoot would be perfect. Can’t wait to come back here again!
