Kosciuzsko

Canon 200D and Fujifilm X100VI with a touch of Lightroom.

Lots of wildlife down at the Station. Perfect for practicing and trying out my new telephoto lens (Sigma 150-600mm).

Time to summit Kosciuzsko. Beautiful views all around. The Fujifilm was perfectly compact and fun to use to capture the stunning landscape.

We saw some Gang Gang Cockatoos on the road towards Thredbo and were determined to find them again. Some research suggested that they can be found around Cooma. Particularly in the bush behind the suburbs. We tried North Bridge Reserve.

There was not much to see. Some magpies were walking amongst the undergrowth. We could hear lots of birds but see nothing.

It was exciting to see A BIRD on the walk. A juvenile crimson rosella chewing on some Eucalypts.

After an hour of walking through the bush in Cooma, we finally found the Gang Gang Cockatoo. It was an exciting moment! A highlight of the trip.
