Exploring Terrigal with the new Fujifilm X100VI

After months of researching for a compact camera that we could take to Europe, we bought the Fujifilm X100VI. I was nervous about this purchase as I had heard people have been waiting over 6 months for this camera and we are due to leave in 3 months. We were super lucky to be the second on the waitlist at our local camera shop and were able to pick one up after a short 4 week wait.

The Fujifilm is exactly what we thought and is an amazing little camera. The film simulations are unreal. Today, we tried out the Fujicolor Superia 800 film recipe from Fuji X Weekly. It was the perfect day to take the camera out. It was overcast which created some nice moody scenes. The camera is nicely weather-sealed using the Hoage square lens hood & adapter and the K&F UV filter.

Of course we saw a goshawk, and a humpback whale breaching, but I couldn’t be too upset without my telephoto lens while holding the Fujifilm.
